I’m excited and I haven’t felt this way for sometime. I’ve been thinking about making changes to my website for a while now but haven’t had the courage to take the next step. There is a feeling of change in the air, as restrictions start to ease and during my time of isolation and the completion of my Cert III Group Instructor Certificate, I’ve had the opportunity to redefine my direction and that of the blog.
I’m DREAMING BIG as Mel Robbins advises in her Youtube video
Give yourself permission to dream, and dream BIG.
Why the Change?
Sizzling Towards 60 & Beyond was started 5 years ago to help me transition into an early retirement. At the time, the name was ‘catchy’ and the blog represented where I was in my life as I struggled with finding who I was in this new lifestyle. I am very proud of what I have achieved with ST60 and whilst I’m a little sad, like many things in life, we evolve and our needs or desires change and that is a positive thing. So, I’m starting the next part of my life journey with a new name, a new look and new ways to present to you, my loyal readers and friends.
A friend of mine commented that my idea to change was
bringing a new vibe and freshness to my blog
Drum roll required here……
The new name of my website will be Women Living Well – Embracing life after 50.

Living well can mean many things which will bring happiness, purpose and contentment. In fact, when I first sat down to think about the name, I found at least 17 different areas of our life which all contribute to us Living Well.
The website will be built around 3 pillars of information
- Mind – Mindset, Mental health, Learning
- Body – Exercise and Nutrition, Self-Care
- Soul – Spiritual awareness, Contentment
My vision is to build a sense of community of Women Living Well, with accountability and support. To provide education on topics related to the 3 pillars in order to Live Well After 50.
Future plans are to start a series of interviews for the Blog and start a Podcast and Youtube channels. These may not happen overnight but it is part of my goal. The plan is to encourage Women who are currently Living Well to share their stories and inspire others to fulfill their own dreams. Rather than just writing my own posts, I will be presenting an interview series that will be from Women who are living their life after 50 on their terms as well as guests who will discuss a range of topics all related to Living Well After 50. I’m looking at both professionals and also women who have a story to tell.
This is where I will reach out to you to suggest topics of interest or contact information for guests you recommend. You might even want to be a guest yourself!
A New Opportunity
I also have a very exciting opportunity which I have accepted. I can’t give you the full details until the position is announced next week, however, it will add to my ability to share healthy living with you and aligns perfectly with Women Living Well. So watch out for the post next week.
What does this Change mean?
Over the next week or so, you will see some changes taking place here. Firstly, the name change to the website with new domain and also to my social media accounts. You may have already seen a change of name and new look in the Facebook Group The changeover will hopefully go smoothly but I’ll be having my fingers and toes crossed and if it has some issues then so be it.
If you are a current subscriber you should still receive the weekly Newsletter or Posts when Published email but it will be from Women Living Well rather than Sizzling Towards 60.
I want to draw a line in the sand and start afresh. I won’t be promising posts every week because I want to spend time on providing quality information. This will also allow me to pursue my dream on my terms and not become overwhelmed or pressured.
