I’m excited! I’ve achieved my goal of starting a podcast and am proud to say that the Women Living Well After 50 Podcast has launched! Sure, I’m nervous but I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone and taken a leap of faith.
My introduction to the episodes reads like this:
Welcome to the Women Living Well After 50 Podcast. I’m Sue Loncaric and I’m passionate about inspiring, motivating, supporting and informing Women Over 50 to embrace this exciting time of life. Health and Wellness in mind, body and spirit are the foundations for living well but there is so much more to a life well lived. Each week through conversations with my guests, I’ll be presenting topics that will help us all to live well and enjoy life. So join me as we discover new ways to become Women Living Well After 50. Are you ready to start living? What are you waiting for? Let’s get started!
I’ve had the usual responses from some people such as:
- ‘Why do you want to do that?’,
- ‘Oh, there are already so many podcasts’,
- ‘It is so expensive’,
- ‘It takes a lot of work’
And yes, they may or may not be right, but I’m doing the podcast and this whole project for me as well as for you. I’m growing, learning and challenging myself and loving every minute of it. Sure, I may not be Oprah and I may not be the best podcaster or presenter (to start with LOL), but I’m giving it a try rather than just thinking, wishing and perhaps regretting that I didn’t take the opportunity to make my dream a reality. To me, that is such an important lesson for us all.

My plan was to start with YouTube which I’ve ticked off and then progress the Conversations to a Podcast which I can now tick off.
In Episode 1, I explain Who I am, Why I’ve started the Podcast and What you can expect. You can take a listen to Episode 1 HERE along with Episodes 2 and 3.
I’ve had my cheerleaders supporting me all the way and a special mention and my deepest thanks to Debbie Harris from Deb’s World who has been my #1 cheerleader, sounding board and voice of reason over the last few weeks.
If you have a dream you can make it a reality, even if it takes overcoming self-doubt and self-believe. If you want something badly enough you will make it happen. I’ve had the self-doubt, the self-belief, the ‘mean girl‘ voice in my head, telling me I can’t do it. But I fought those thoughts and I’ve done it!
I’d love to hear your feedback and if you have any topics you would like me to bring into the Conversation then drop me an email with your ideas. You may also know someone who has a story to share that relates to living well after 50 or maybe even You could be a guest! Just contact me and I can send you the details.

Thank you Toni, it is pretty exciting but I’m nervous at the same time. x
Hi, Sue – I echo Toni’s words. You are a great inspiration to all. <3
Thank you my lovely friend. xx
Congratulations Sue. What a great achievement. I’m looking forward to listening. There will always be negative people. Good on you for ignoring them and continuing to work towards achieving your dreams
Thanks Jen, I’ve done several interviews already which will be aired over the coming weeks. I’m feeling more confident with each one, so I hope you enjoy them. xx
Well done Sue! – that is such an amazing achievement – and to be honest, I actually like the podcasts better than the videos – less distracting (especially when it was me on the screen!) You are so innovative and inspirational and I’m proud of you (and very chuffed to be one of your cheersquad – under cheerleader Deb!) xxx
Thanks BBB, it has been challenging but exciting at the same time. I also prefer to listen to podcasts especially if I’m running a long distance on my own. Glad you were part of the ride with me xx
Hi Sue – just back for #MLSTL and I’ve shared all over my SM xx
Sue, Congratulations on launching this podcast! You are definitely an inspiration to women of all ages. Your genuine passion about health and fitness jumps from the page and now from a podcast. I love the “make it happen” quote! You are an inspiration and you walk the talk, Sue. I know you will do well. xx
Beautiful Erica, thank you for your lovely words of support and friendship.I love the ‘make it happen’ quote and had it on my original blog as the header when I first started. xx
Love seeing dream become goals and then reality. 2020 sure has been YOUR year to shine and keep shining brightly. Congratulations Sue.
Thank you Denyse, I am excited and nervous at the same time but thrilled to have pushed the launch button! xx
I am glad you have shut out those other voices…and anyone who says ‘what do you want to do that for’ has obviously never known what it is like to change, grow and move on at any age. You are an excellent example of ‘never say never.’

I’m thrilled to have been a very small part of helping you during this time Sue. Congratulations on your fantastic efforts, I am so impressed with your tenacity and vision to realise your dream. I went out in the cold this afternoon, after arriving home from up north, and walked just so I could listen to your podcast, and to be active in August :). The results will be fantastic and you deserve every accolade! I’m happy to lead the cheerleading squad 🙂
Congratulations! Wishing you much success and know I’m going to enjoy being a listener!

I just had a listen to episode 1 and am so proud of you. So proud. My eyes are even leaking a little. Oh, and you sound great.
This is wonderful, Sue, and you should feel so proud of all you’ve accomplished, how much you’ve learned, and the communication methods that you’ve gained in sharing your message of healthy living as we get older. Many women in our stage of life enjoy learning from videos and podcasts, and I know your audience will grow quickly! xo
Hi Sue, I applaud your podcast! Don’t listen to the naysayers, you have a vision for what is important and for the ways you can help other women and other women can help each other. I love the introduction and the music. I just listened to the episode with Leanne. It is delightful to hear your voices and listen to you talk about self-kindness, which is a message that man y of us need to hear about. Your podcast has a place in the world and I think you will gradually grow it as women discover it. a big applause and kudos to you from across the pond!
Hi Sue, visiting again and sharing for #MLSTL
Congratulations Sue! What an accomplishment. I’ve been working a lot and haven’t had a chance to listen yet, but maybe this afternoon while I ride the stationary bike. I’m looking forward to it. Good luck with all your endeavors!
