Best wishes for Festive Season

FAMILY TRADITIONS

We had our annual family Christmas get together yesterday. As we are a blended family, we celebrate Christmas with Nonna (my 93 year old MIL), all of our children and grandchildren a few days before Christmas. It has become a family tradition and one where everyone can relax rather than racing around on Christmas day trying to fit everyone in!

With love and best wishes for the Festive Season

This year was a little different as we hosted the event at my MIL’s aged care home. Everyone still had a wonderful time, especially our grandchildren. To me spending time with family and making memories is the best gift of all.

The celebrations don’t stop yet though, as on Christmas Day we take my MIL and spend the day with my daughter, son and other family on my side.

I will be taking some time off, like many of my blogging friends, to enjoy some family time, relaxation and also planning for 2020.

A NEW YEAR AND A NEW DECADE

Life has been hectic as I study for my Fitness Certificate however the last week or so I’ve felt my mojo coming back and am excited about blogging again – yay!

I will be posting on December 28th with a question for you all to consider as we enter 2020 and one we can work through together.

On January 5, I will be announcing my theme for the year. I’m not selecting a World of the Year as I’ve done in the past but I will be following a theme which I am very excited about. Part of that will be introducing Women who are enjoying life and following their passions – making things happen!

If you have a story to share which will inspire others then I would love to have you as a guest.

Without giving too much away yet, my aim is for the blog to be more about sharing experiences from other women, interviews and being informative and inspiring.

I do hope you will join me in 2020 as we continue to grow together.

With love and best wishes for the Festive Season

A huge thank you to all of you who read and follow my blog. I do so appreciate your support and comments because without you, there would be no purpose in blogging.

I wish you all a very happy, safe and joyous Festive Season and look forward to sharing 2020 with you all!

What a lovely idea, and it looks like a wonderful get-together. With love and best wishes for the Christmas season, Sue. Toni x

It was lovely Toni although I felt a little lost as I wasn’t running around like I usually do. It was more laid back and I could relax which isn’t a bad thing. x

What a great idea to have the holiday dinner at your MIL’s facility. I wish we could all get together one more time with my mom before it’s too late. So good for the grands to be with our parents and vice versa.

Can’t wait to see what you have in store for 2020. In the meantime, enjoy your down time and holidays. Wishing you the merriest Christmas.

Yes it all worked out very well, Leslie as it would have been too far to bring my MIL to where we now live. Have a beautiful Christmas and New Year and look forward to linking up again in 2020. xx

Merry Christmas Sue. Sometimes I think we are on the same planet. I just published a post that is quite similar. Looking forward to whatever you have planned on the blog in 2020.

Hi Jen, great minds, as they say. Have a beautiful Christmas and a wonderful 2020 and look forward to reading more of your blog and life in 2020 xx

Enjoy your Christmas with family Sue. It sounds like you’re feeling really positive about your study and the year ahead, which is wonderful. I can’t wait to hear more about your challenges and plans. xx

Hi Deb, it was such a struggle at the beginning of the course but I’ve turned a corner and with the help of a local PT and the local gym manager I’m finally kicking some goals. Have a very happy Festive Season and I hope 2020 is full of happiness and joy for you xx

Hi Sue – Merry Christmas and may 2020 bring many good things into your life. Thanks so much for another year of friendship and blogging support and encouragement. You’ve been a godsend to me in this bloggy journey and I’m not sure I’d still be hammering away if it wasn’t for our shared conversations. xxx
Looking forward to seeing where you take your blog in the decade ahead 🙂

Hi BBB, yes I don’t know where I would be without our conversations either. It is lovely to have someone who understands the blogging world and experiences the same feelings. I’m not sure I’ll make the next decade but certainly looking forward now to 2020 and seeing where both of our blogs develop. Merry Christmas my friend. xx

It looks like you had a fabulous day with family Sue and more to come on Christmas Day! I’m pleased to hear you’ve got your blogging mojo back again. I totally get it – mine has come and gone over the last 7 years. I look forward to seeing what you’ve got planned. Meanwhile, enjoy your break and Merry Christmas to you! May 2020 be a happy and healthy one for us all! xo

It was much nicer than I expected Min as I’m used to preparing days in advance for past get togethers. At least I could relax and enjoy the afternoon and the grandchildren always bring such joy. You’ve had a rough year with health so I’m wishing you every happiness and good health for 2020! Best wishes to you and your family xx

A very Merry Christmas to you and your family, Sue! Best wishes for a wonderful 2020. I look forward to your theme and new direction of your blog. And glad to hear you are feeling better about your fitness course work as well. You remain an inspiration to me – and many others too I am sure!

Best wishes to you and your family Pat and I’ve enjoyed reading your journey through retirement. 2020 seems special for many, perhaps because it is a new decade as well. Thank you for your kind words and although I haven’t felt I’ve been that inspirational lately it is wonderful to know that others can take something away from my offerings on the blog. Happy Holidays and may 2020 be filled with happiness. xx

It’s so good to read your post Sue, your family get together looked like great fun and much less work for you I’m sure! I’m also glad to hear your blogging mojo is coming back. I have so appreciated your support and advice and friendship throughout the year and can’t wait to see what you get up to in 2020. You are a continual inspiration to me xx #lifethisweek

Thanks Deb and although it felt a little strange not having to rush around preparing the house and food I did get to enjoy this year more and relax. The mojo is coming back but I’m determined not to fall into the ‘pressure’ trap again. I have a theme and ideas but if they don’t happen when I want them to then I know the world won’t end. Thank you for your beautiful words of encouragement. You and Pat both mentioned that I was an inspiration to you and isn’t it funny how we can’t see that ourselves. I don’t feel I’ve been much inspiration to others of the last few months. Have a joyous time with your family and hopefully catch up in 2020 IRL xx

Such a relaxed way to ‘do Christmas’ as you have recounted. It is so needed. I remember the years of pressure..and I would have only been working at school till a few days before. I like changes that let everyone enjoy the spirit too.

Thanks for sharing your news and I will be eager to see what your story is on 28 Dec. I am always happy to help with a guest post if it suits you.

You have been a very helpful and support blogging friend, along with Leanne and I do appreciate that.

Thank you for being a “loyal linker” for Life This Week in 2019 and I look forward to sharing more stories and reading yours in 2020. Happy nearly New Year. See you on Monday 6 January 2020 for the first link up if you choose… 1/51 Word/Intention for 2020 6.1.2020. Denyse.

    • Reply Sue Loncaric December 29, 2019 at 06:53

It was a very relaxed Christmas this year, Denyse and lovely to be able to sit and enjoy it rather than spending many hours in preparation and running around on the day. MLSTL will restart on 8th January so hope you will be linking up. Also I’ll be back to being a regularly for Life This Week. Happy New Year! xx

    Hi Sue,
Merry “Belated” Christmas…between cruising and the holidays I am most certainly behind in my blogging game! I’m so glad to hear that your blogging mojo is returning. Sounds like a reset was in order for you.
Loved the idea of celebrating at your MIL’s new residence. A great idea! And was her home on-board with your plans? Looked like a large group.
Looking forward to sharing a joyous and productive New Year with you and all my other blogging friends.
Cheers to 2020…may it be happy and healthy.

Hi Nancy, yes same to you and I just read your post on Cruising! We love cruising and try to incorporate one each year. My MIL’s residence were very supportive and helped organise the rec room for our festivities. It is a large group when my family and Mike’s family are combined and everyone enjoyed the day. Have a wonderful New Year and look forward to sharing with you. x
