Week 3 of the #100happydays challenge is completed, however it was difficult to find happiness on Saturday in light of the attacks in Paris. It was ironic that I had written a post about Kindness for World Kindness Day – the day of the attacks.
However, we need to keep finding joy and happiness in our lives as we are again reminded that life can be taken away in a moment.
I’d love to share my week with you and also hopefully spread some happiness to you all.
Day 15: #100happydays
After the tragic events of the last few days in Paris and Lebanon I am struggling to find happiness today. I do feel hope at the way we all pull together at times like these. Let’s spread kindness to defeat hatred. Hug those close to you and tell them how much you love them.
Day 16: #100happydays
It is Monday and I am happy and grateful to be able to work out with this view. I love my PT, Nikki Wakerley, who always has a happy smile and encourages me to be the best I can be. Today we worked out at Southport Broadwater Parklands and I am grateful that I live in a beautiful place. The sun is shining so that makes me feel happy.
Day 17: #100happydays
I spent a wonderful day with my gorgeous grandson that always makes me happy. He brings such joy and I love the innocence of children. I want to protect him from this world but know I can’t. All I can do is love him. I then came home to these roses picked by my darling from our garden. He is so thoughtful and I am very lucky to have him as my life partner. I’m loved and grateful for all I have.
Day 18: #100happydays
I received a lovely surprise in the post. A beautiful card from my friend offering her friendship and support because of my difficult time in October. Such a treat to actually receive something in the mail. It is a dying trend as we all love the convenience and speed of texting or email. Feeling happy that I have loving family and friend.
Day 19: #100happydays
I love life! Nature continues to amaze me. We grew this from a tiny leaf nature amazes me constantly. It makes me happy to reflect on how nature regenerates itself. With life there is hope.
Day 20: #100happydays
It is my son’s birthday today and he is 33. I love this photo of him with my mum (his nan). My mother was battling cancer at the time and passed away a couple of years after this photo was taken. Looking at their smiling faces brings happiness to my heart.
Day 21: #100happydays
I love baking although I only bake for birthdays and Christmas. I feel happy making something special for those I love. Today I made Italian Chocolate Hazlenut Biscotti for my family. We were celebrating my son’s birthday with afternoon tea. Finished my day babysitting my gorgeous grandson. Life is good and a wonderful way to end the week.

Getting an inexpected card or letter in the post is always a great thing. I really should write more, it seams to be a dying art. Thank you for sharing, Tracey xx #happydiaries
