The Life List: Mastering Every Moment to Live an Audacious Life

April 10, 2023
The Life List

Are you living every moment? Sometimes it takes a tragedy to wake us up to appreciate life and make the most of each day.

In this episode of the Women Living Well After 50 Podcast, my guest, Kate Christie shares her story and discusses why she wrote The Life List. After turning 50, losing her former life partner to cancer and seeing her kids move on as young adults, Kate Christie was faced with the fact that life is too short. And it was time to do something about it. So Kate created the concept of making a “life list”

During the conversation we discussed:

  • Kate’s story and why she wrote this book
  • Her call to action for women to start putting themselves first – it isn’t selfish
  • Is approaching midlife really a time of crisis?
  • Why a ‘Life List’ is different to a ‘Bucket List’
  • The steps to creating your own Life List without comparison
  • Kate’s own A-Z Life List

Wow! Kate sounds like quite a woman Sue and I’ll be interested to hear what she has to say – life is definitely short (and getting shorter) so we need to enjoy every moment we’re blessed with.

Kate was lovely, professional and very inspiring, Leanne. I’m sure you would love her podcast interview. We do need to make each day count and better to do it now rather than waiting for an experience that makes you stop and think – like losing a loved one. xx

I love the reframing we are having now – life list not bucket list, life catalyst not midlife crisis! Fantastic episode Sue.
