Poo! It is part of our body’s functions yet do you know that examining your Poo could save your life?
Poo is one of the best indicators of what is happening in our digestive system. It can tell us how well we are chewing and if we are chewing properly to breakdown the foods we eat. Are we feeding our gut bacteria the right sort of foods to make them thrive and be healthy? Is our gut environment conducive to keeping gut bacteria thriving and doing the jobs they are meant to do?
My guest on the Women Living Well After 50 podcast today is Ange Sinclair, the Digestive Detective who is on a mission to have us all ‘looking back’ and examining the health messages our poo is sending us. In this episode we discuss:
- Why is it important that we do examine our Poo?
- What is poo made up of?
- Bowel movements – How often should we be going to the bathroom?
- What other things should we know in relation to poo when it comes to our health.
- How much fibre we really need daily?
- Red flags that we should take immediate action on.
- Ange’s ‘Perfect Poo’ Program.
Take Ange’s ‘Perfect Poo Checklist’ Quiz, that will give you an idea of where you should probably go next and what to do.
