New Ways November – Action for Happiness Calendar

October 31, 2022

It’s never too late to try something new or change the way we view life and our attitudes or opinions. New Ways November is this month’s theme for The Action for Happiness Calendar for November 2022.

Discovering New Ways to do things, new ways to view life, new ways to learn – these are all part of growing as an individual and enriching our lives.

We need to forget the attitude of ‘that is the way I’ve always done it’ and be open to new ways, new ideas and new ways of thinking.

Change is good. Life shouldn’t be static but rather dynamic.

Some ideas and prompts for the month include:-

  • Respond to a difficult situation in a different way
  • Observe changes in nature as we come to the close of one season – for some of you that is the Fall and here in Australia we are moving from Spring to Summer. Where I live in Queensland I think Mother Nature has forgotten about Spring and jumped straight to Summer as we experience very high temperatures for this time of year.
  • Try something new
  • Take a different route on your walk

Refreshed from a 3-week holiday to Tasmania I’m ready to plan to try and experience different things. I’ve had time to reflect on what brings me Joy, how my opinions and thoughts may not always be as informed as they should be. New Ways November is certainly a good way to start.

Have you thought of doing things in a different way? How did you feel about the changes you made?
