In April, I am participating in the 2016 Blogging from A to Z Challenge! My friend, Leanne, from Cresting the Hill told me about it so we are both going to give it a try. It will require commitment as we need to post something for 26 days, each day based on the alphabet and following a theme.
Today is March 21 . and that means Theme Reveal Day!
At first, I wasn’t sure what to have as my theme, however, I thought the most natural topic and one I am passionate about is achieveing a Healthier, Happier lifestyle. So, DRUM ROLL PLEASE……..My theme will be……
My A to Z Guide to a Healthier, Happier You! (Watch out for the book!!!).
I won’t just be talking about the usual ‘diet and exercise’ topics associated with health. My philosophy is that to achieve a healthier, happier lifestyle, we need to take a holistic approach – in our mental health, physical health and spiritual health.
To me, Health and Happiness go ‘hand-in-hand’. I don’t believe you can have one without the other so I’ll be focussing on ways to achieve the ‘BEST YOU THAT YOU CAN BE’.
When I reached midlife, I realised that if I wanted to enjoy this wonderful and new phase of life I had to start seriously looking at my health – being physically active and eating a balanced diet as well as having good mental and spiritual health.
I’ll be covering topics from Attitude to Zen, from Friendships to Relaxation techniques, from finding Balance in your life to Having a Vision and making your Dreams a reality. Have I peaked your interest? I hope so!
I would love you to join me on this journey and hopefully pick up some tips on how you can make your life healthier and happier!
Watch for my first #atozchallenge post on April 1 – ‘A’ is for Attitude, Action and AchievementClick To TweetIf you are a blogger, why not try this challenge? Is there a theme that you are passionate about? Could you write posts for each letter of the alphabet using the theme? Of course you could!

Oh thank you Zeljka! It is my first time doing the challenge so wasn’t sure what to expect! I’m looking forward to it all though should be some interesting reading.
Awesome! Welcome to #AtoZChallenge! I’m writing on health as well, but more from an awareness-of-issues stance. Good luck!

Sounds great! I just turned 60 this year so I’ll be interested in your topic. (I never heard of a sizzling 60 year old before!)
Oh we are Sizzling Jerri! Never too old! I’ll be 60 next year but I’m thoroughly enjoying life more than ever. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
You’ve got me pumped just reading your reveal. And you have “Z” covered, one of the hardest letters. Yes, 60 sizzles! (so does my age, 63). Best of luck!
Oh thanks Alana you have made my day! I just hope my posts live up to my hype LOL:) You are Sizzling good for you!!!
Sue, I am excited to follow this! You had me so inspired, I actually started writing my own “theme reveal” and was going to join the challenge at the last minute. But alas, common sense or flu-induced exhaustion overrode that moment of spontaneity, and I decided to just follow along as a spectator this time. 🙂 Looking forward to following your posts this month!
Oh I’m sorry you haven’t been well Wendy and you can’t take part as I would have loved to read your posts. Thank you for following mine and I hope you enjoy them.

Sounds like a great theme. I could stand to be a better me, so I’ll be back to see how your A to Z progresses. This is the second time I participated in the challenge. It’s a LOT of work. But it’s rewarding and fun. And you get to meet so many cool new bloggers.
Wishing you the best in your April Challenge!
Thanks Jeffrey. I just saw your theme and absolutely love it. I will be following!
Sue, that sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun, to read! And it sounds like quite the challenge, 26 days of writing is a big commitment. I know you’re up to the challenge and I can’t wait to see what you come up with! I’ll be back to check it out.
Thanks Nikki I think it will be challenging but I plan an e-book at the end using my posts so that is an added bonus.
This sounds like a great theme, something everyone will be able to take something away from! Looking forward to visiting you through April 🙂
Debbie
Thanks Debbie I’m looking forward to the challenge. 🙂
I wish you every success son the challenge. As a midlifer myself I know the value of looking after number one and I encourage you in that lifestyle choice. Looking forward to visiting in April 🙂 Am an April child too so its awesome!
Oh thank you Julie and it is great to find another midlifer! I’m off to check out your theme and look forward to connecting during the April Challenge.
Sounds great! I need to give it some thought to find out if it’s something I can work into my blog. I can’t wait to follow along with you (as always!).
Oh you are so lovely Robin! Thanks for you continuing support and friendship.
I agree with your concept; you basically have to “fix” the whole body if you want to try to fix one thing of it otherwise it will be potentially a fail. If one is overweight, they need to figure out what caused it, boredom, loneliness, stress, etc. If they don’t get to the root of the problem, no amount of weight loss or weight loss surgery even will “cure” them. All parts need to work together for the good of the body I do believe!
enjoy the challenge!

Hi Betty! Yes to me after years of yo-yo dieting I realise it is all about finding balance and that being fit and healthy is not just in the physical sense. I’m looking forward to reading your posts on Arizona. Have a great week and see you at the Challenge.!
What a great idea, Sue! I love how you’ll be focusing on all aspects of achieving a healthy life and not just one area like weight loss. I’m excited and anxious to read what you have in store for us!
Thanks Monica! I will see how I go but it is something I believe in so if you write from the heart you can’t go too far wrong. Thanks for your friendship and support as always.
Who wouldn’t want a happier, healthier life? Sounds like a great choice for a theme.
thanks Carol! It is my first time taking the challenge so I will see how I go.
