Day 13 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – Sprinkle kindness every day.
If ever we need more kindness shown to each other 2020 is certainly the time to do it. We can show kindness in many ways and one I love is the random act of kindness. One that we don’t necessarily plan but the opportunity comes along and we rise to the occasion.

Day 14 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – stay active and healthy
Whilst the Festive Season is a time to enjoy and perhaps indulge in good food and cheer. Staying active with your fitness workouts and eating healthy alternatives when you can, will avoid the post festive weight gain. Be creative. I found this Healthy Fruit Christmas tree on the Healthy Mummy website.

Day 15 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – Choose Joy and bring joy and happiness to others.

Day 16 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – Take time today to reflect on what Christmas and the Festive Season really means to you.
So often we get caught up in the commercial side of Christmas that we forget the true meaning. For Christians it is celebrating the birth of Christ for everyone it is a time for peace and good will.

Day 17 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – Digital Detox
Take time daily to unplug from technology and reconnect with yourself. This time of year can become hectic, although Christmas of 2020 will be so different for many as new waves of COVID-19 continue. Take a day or two to unplug from technology to reconnect with yourself and your feelings. I’ve had friends who are in lockdown again and won’t be able to spend time with loved ones physically this Christmas. Whilst technology can be useful for them to stay connected with their family. They tell me it is also important or them to unplug for a time from listening to the news and media reports which can be depressing and aren’t always accurate, helpful.

Day 18 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – Relax and watch a Christmas Movie
Do you have a favourite Christmas Movie? There are so many to choose from. Take some time to relax and lose yourself in a movie for a couple of hours. Most movies at this time of year can bring ‘happy tears’ so make sure you have the tissue box nearby.

Day 19 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – Be creative with the way you do Christmas this year.
Don’t let COVID spoil your Christmas. Use some creativity to create a special time despite lockdown. Many of my friends live overseas and won’t be able to be with family for Christmas 2020. Lockdown and isolation is real but that isn’t stopping them finding ways to stop COVID from spoiling this time of year.
One of my friends, has organised something special for her family which will happen during a Christmas family Zoom call. I can’t share it with you as it will spoil their surprise. I am inspired by her ability to use her creativity to still make Christmas 2020 special and one to remember.
Day 20 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – Make a Christmas Wish List with a difference.
Focus on a list of wishes that will enrich your life, mentally, physically and spiritually.

Day 21 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas Feel the excitement of giving to others.
I love to give to others and it doesn’t have to be a commercial gift. It could be the gift of your time or doing something to lighten the load. I do get excited about giving gifts more than receiving them. I love the anticipation of wondering what the reaction will be. It is all about making others feel good, loved and cared for.

Day 22 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas Finding a Focus on what truly matters in 2021
2020 has tested us all and it is easy to feel like giving up on our dreams and our goals. Finding a Focus on what truly matters in 2021 will help guide you during difficult times. Some people choose a Word of the Year to help them find focus. Think of ways you can focus on what you want in 2021 and go for it!

Day 23 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – What have you appreciated in 2020 despite COVID?
Recently at the Strong Healthy Women Virtual Christmas Party we took 30 seconds for each person to share what they appreciated in 2020 even though COVID had affected everyone. There were varied answers but one that seem to feature was ‘Technology’. The ability for us to embrace technology such as Zoom to continue to be connected with others. For these ladies it meant still being able to workout in a Virtual Studio so that their fitness didn’t decline. It meant social connection with family and friends and for some it meant keeping their jobs as they worked remotely.
What did you appreciate this year?

Day 24 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – Write 5 things you have learned from 2020
It’s been quite a year but despite it all there are many things we have learned because that is what life is about – learning each day. Reflect on what you have learned about life and about who you are during 2020, You might be surprised.

Day 25 – #my25daycountdowntoahappychristmas – Continue the values of Christmas into 2021.

Wishing you all the very best and looking forward to sharing 2021 with you. xx
