How a monthly Life Plan & Review can help you Live Well & Enjoy Life

Being spontaneous in life is fun and exciting, my friend Deb from Deb’s World recently had a weekend away with her husband which was a spur of the moment decision. After the weekend, she told me she felt carefree and hadn’t felt this way in quite some time. We would all love to be carefree wouldn’t we? But life isn’t always about spontaneity. Sometimes we want to make dreams reality or set a goal and than requires a plan. In this Micro Mondays episode, I’m introducing a new monthly idea for the podcast .  I want to put the focus on a Monthly Life Plan Review and Planning session. 

Having a monthly life plan and review enables you to work towards your goals and make your dreams a reality.  It’s about connecting with what is happening in your life and whether it still aligns with your core values or your Word Of the Year theme if you have one.

Reviewing regularly will show you where you are placing your energy. It identifies  what isn’t serving you well and depleting you of energy.  You can then let go of the negative elements in your life which are dragging you down.

You might be working towards a specific goal such as:

  • losing weight,
  • saving money,
  • exercising more
  • completing studies

By reviewing your goal and progress each month, you can see where you are doing well and if you’ve fallen off track, identify what happened and get back on track, without beating yourself up.

You might even want to change your goals or dreams because you discover it isn’t really what you want or it no longer serves you. A monthly plan and review will enable you to make a new plan and start a new path – there are no rules set in stone. It is all about your growth, development and enjoyment of life.

The call to action for the week is to write down your goal and then daily micro-steps which will help lead you towards your goal. Print it off and put it on your mirror or in a prominent place that you will see your goal every day.
