Do you try to Mix & Match to maximise your Wardrobe?
I’m not an expert in fashion and I don’t write about fashion often on the blog (although that might change because feeling good about ourselves is important to living well) but mixing and matching, is certainly a great way to utilise a smaller number of clothes and it also can bring out the creative flair.
Recently, I have been collaborating with Fella Hamilton an Australian family-owned company, operating since 1969. Their garments are stylish, comfortable and excellent quality, which is what I’m looking for in my fashion choices.
‘Designed to make customers feel beautiful and confident’Fella Hamilton
Since starting the collaboration, wearing the clothes for photo shoots with my darling husband as photographer, I’ve actually become more mindful and creative when putting outfits together. I’m using accessories such as hats, scarfs and jewellery more and I’m liking the look!
It’s all about Mixing and Matching in my latest outfits kindly gifted from Fella Hamilton. I’ve selected some basics from their range and dressed them up with accessories or gone for the casual look with items from my wardrobe as well as new purchases.
What am I wearing? I had fun putting together these outfits and a shoutout to my photographer (my husband) who has found a new profession LOL 😊
Adorned with a monochrome painterly spot print, this shirt is a must-have for your wardrobe. The A-line fit and front pleat detailing ensure a flattering silhouette.
- Painterly spot print
- V insert neckline and button-down placket
- Set in short sleeve
- Front bust darts for a perfect fit
- Curved hem for a stylish finish
Sizes 6 to 22 I’m wearing Size 6, a little roomy but great for the hot summers here in Brisbane. Paired for day wear with my FH Sandy stretch 7/8 pants in Hot Pink with my favourite pink earrings, tan sandals and Breton Squash & Wash hat (also from Fella Hamilton).
For a more formal look I’ve added pearls and paired with black pants from my wardrobe and black sandals with bling.
This tee features a painterly floral print, adding a splash of colour to your wardrobe. With a crew neck design, the set-in sleeve and slight curve hem ensure a flattering fit.
Sizes XS – XXL – I’m wearing Size XS
I wasn’t sure about this one as the colours are muted and I thought they would make me feel washed out. When I paired with the top with my Sandy stretch 7/8 pants in Hot Pink and added Hot Pink drop earrings plus my favourite Breton hat it made such a difference.
Adding a white denim jacket or blue denim jacket for cooler temps and I’m ready to go for lunch or coffee catchups.
Sizes 6 to 22
For an everyday essential, the V-Neck Top is a must-have. Made from a comfort-rich cotton stretch, and with relaxed-look elbow length sleeves.
- Elbow length sleeves
- Curved hemline
Who says a white tee has to be boring? There are endless combinations with the popular Suzy Stretch long pull on jean, scarves and accessories.
I’ve gone all white and added a necklace or scarf and hat to lift the look. I then went for the White Tee with Pink Pants and scarf. I love both outfits.
I love scarves to add a touch of glamour and I’m starting to try different ways of styling them. Lots to learn but I have earmarked a future post just for scarves.
My favourite scarf was a birthday gift from my cousin and I’m in love with the Gregory Ladner brand. Don’t you love the colours? I actually reciprocated and bought one for her birthday and as a birthday gift for a friend who was celebrating their 70th.
I’m a fan of an animal print scarf especially paired with white.
