Mental Well-being is certainly a foundation of living well. During May I invite you to join me for Mental Well-being in May as I focus the blog, my Weekly Living Well letter to susbcribers, podcast and in the Women Living Well After 50 Facebook Community, on this vital pillar of health.
What is Mental Well-being in May?

Simply, it is about putting the focus on our Mental Health and Wellness every day for May. That’s 31 days which hopefully will be the beginning of a lifestyle.
Each day I will be posting in the Facebook Community, tips, articles and ideas for you to implement into your daily life. Some things will be easy or you may already know them, in which case a gentle reminder is always helpful.
I will also be introducing guests to share their ideas on Mental Well-being throughout the month.

Great idea to focus on Mental Wellbeing Sue. I’ll join in when I can, but maybe not every day. I’ve been laying low recently, due to work overwhelm. It’s just temporary so all is good
Hi Jen, yes I’ve missed your posts. Did you have to give up on AtoZ because of work? Take it easy and make some time for yourselfxx
I’m not over 50 yet but I know that I need this! Actually, I started the journey of working on my mental wellbeing a while ago, but some extra inspiration and structure will do me good. I always enjoy your posts on this kind of topic!
Hi Susanne, I think we all need to focus on mental well-being at any age. Thank you for your lovely words and I’m pleased you enjoy my thoughts. Have a lovely week. x
Interesting – will investigate. Will join in on FB #Lifethisweek
Fabulous focus for the month Sue. Sadly, I won’t be able to participate as I’ve got so much on my plate lately and am easily overwhelmed. However, I AM focussing on my mental health and wellbeing during April/May. I’ve joined an art mentoring program which has a strong focus on mental health and wellbeing in the way of mindfulness and ‘me time’ and the benefits of creativity. I also am being very careful to not overload myself as I’m coming into a very busy month. Hope you have a wonderful week! xo
A very important focus Sue. I’m actually seeing a psychologist for the first time in a while in May. I’ve seen many in the past re eating issues and the like but haven’t found many to be helpful. I overthink about stuff enough to know why I think what I think, what I should think and do etc… But, I figure it’s time to try again.
Hi Sue, I am definitely in! Mental health is so important. I did what you said with the Facebook notifications. I wondered why I wasn’t getting many notifications from your page. Thank you for focusing on this very important aspect of health
Count me in too!
Thanks Deb!
Hi Sue – I’ll be keeping an eye out for your daily tips etc – I’m well aware of how easy it is to slip into feeling flat or disconnected. Having some positive ideas popping up in my FB feed during May will be lovely. You manage to fit so much into your schedule – I’m sure you have more hours in your day than the rest of us!
Well-done Sue on providing your followers with an essential health program for May. I have been making some changes to my life post head and neck cancer and actually doing less…of what I find a chore, and more of what sustains me. I have gone back to loving photography again and have joined in Becky’s Squares for April. Seeing the sun rise of ANZAC Sunday Morning was an absolute joy and reverent too as I thought of the diggers who were, on that same date, in 1915, clambering over the hills at Gallipoli. I will check in from time to time on your page. Thank you for sharing your post for Life This Week. I am always appreciative of the blogging community and you are one of those people in my blogging life. Next week, the optional prompt is Taking Stock. The new set of prompts is on my home page should you want to follow. Looking forward to see you again next week hopefully too. Denyse
Hi Denyse, I’ve noticed your images and you are so good at following the challenge. It is all about bringing calm and joyful moments to our lives.
