This week I’m a guest for my Best Blogging Buddy, Leanne at Cresting the Hill. Leanne has a series this year XXXX and she asked if I would like to contribute to ‘M’ for ‘Me Time’. I love Leanne’s blog and our thinking is aligned in so many ways, so I jumped at the chance of writing for her again.
‘Me Time’ has been written about quite regularly so I decided to put a different theory forward for my guest post. As a Woman Over 60 who has control over how I spend my ‘time’, I sometimes take for granted the fact that I do have time to do the things that I want to do in life rather than need to do.
Recently, my daughter returned to work after 10 months parental leave following the birth of her second son, Elliot. I noticed that especially since returning to work she has literally zero time for herself. This sparked an idea for my ‘Me Time’ post for Leanne which I’m sure you and your daughters or younger women will appreciate.
If you would like to read my different take on ‘Me Time’ pop over and read my article at Cresting the Hill. Don’t forget to say hello to Leanne while you are there – you will love her and her thoughts.

Hi, Sue – I just read your post on Leanne’s site. All of your posts are excellent, but this one was an A++. I have shared it on my Social Media.
Thanks Donna, I wanted to write from a different angle and the inspiration came through looking at my daughter and what she is experiencing at the moment. x
I too loved this post Sue and agree with Donna, it’s A++ 🙂
Thank you my friend and thanks to your daughter for her input as well. 🙂
Hi Sue, I shared some comments on Leanne’s site. I wanted to add how I really liked your important phrase on how Me time is “imperative for our mental health and well-being.” Even though this post shares thoughts from other women, it says a great deal about you, too, Sue. You reinforce a common theme, how we can learn from each other and empower each other during all the decades of our life. I also saw a red flag when medical appointments are optional, especially when I hear about it from my daughter:) Great post!
Thank you Erica for your positive comment and you have made me feel validated in what I write and present on the blog. It is difficult to know sometimes whether I’m making a difference but then I receive a comment like yours and that makes it all worthwhile. Have a beautiful week. xx
