Hi, Sue and Helen – This is such an important topic not only for our retirement lives but for our increased longevity. Thank you for your excellent tips and advice.
Yes, it’s never too late to start even with the smallest amount of money. x
Luckily, both Mike and I have pensions as well as the savings we accumulated as we worked. We both participated in the IRA programs our employers had. For years, we both took care of the finances, but now I handle it all. We do make decisions about big purchases together. We live off of our pensions and leave the IRA alone. I think I was lucky to be married to someone who had educated himself about finances and then shared that information with me. I am confident I can continue to deal with our finances as we age.
Another informative podcast, Sue! Thanks for these!

I’m very fortunate that Mike gets a Dept Veteran Affairs pension for his service in Vietnam. He is also on a Gold card because of issues he suffered during the war which means he gets quality medical attention for free. x
Wonderful advice
