What does living well after retirement and into your 60’s mean to you? There are many options today for those who want to transition from a full time career to having the time to enjoy life more. We are at a time in our life where we should be feeling comfortable in our own skin, but some women aren’t happy when they look in the mirror and see the woman looking back at them
My guest today in conversation discusses her experience when she was transitioning to retirement. Not wanting to slow down after retirement from her day job, she started as a consultant with a company whose focus is to help women look and feel beautiful and confident. What she did to earn extra income and yet still have fun.
We also discuss ‘time freedom’ and why it could be a double-edged sword.

Meet Gina

Gina Hartzeheim is a busy semi-retired mom and grammi who is barreling towards 65 at an alarming rate!
Not wanting to slow down after retirement from her day job, she started as a consultant with a company whose focus is to help women look and feel beautiful and confident.
She enjoys teaching tips and tricks about taking care of your skin, especially as we become women “of a certain age” and also fun makeup tricks to help you enhance your look – regardless of how much makeup you typically wear.
She loves to encourage women to chase their dreams and to remind them that you are never too old to do that! Gina decided that she was not going to just sit on the sidelines during this time in her life and is pursuing fun and fulfillment, and is helping other women do the same.
Her new focus is her business Image with Heart, a course that will help and encourage women over 55 to love the person they see in the mirror.

Hi, Sue and Gina – There are so many great gems in this episode – thank you! I agree that ‘having purpose’ is an essential piece to fully enjoying our retirement. I also liked your discussion about when we say yes to something, we are saying no to something else. This is a great reframe to help us remember that we do not need to continually say ‘yes’.
Hi Donna, I loved that point raised by Gina too – ‘when we say yes to something we are saying no to ourselves’. It really gives us pause to think about this doesn’t it? x
Hi Sue and Gina, this was a great podcast today and gave me many insights into my retired life. Thank you both.
Thanks Deb! I think you might be my #1 podcast fan! xx
