A to Z Guide to Thriving in Life

A to Z Guide to Thriving in Life

It is April next month and that means the AtoZ Challenge for many bloggers.  I have completed the challenge back in 2016 with my A to Z Guide to a Healthier, Happier You! which I would love you to visit here.

I never thought I would do another one but although I must be crazy, I’m giving it another go!

Today is the theme reveal for AtoZ Challenge 2018 and my theme for this year’s Challenge is Thriving in Life.

atozchallenge 2018

Each year I select a word to try to focus on in my life.  2016 was Balance, 2017 was Simplify and now in 2018,  my focus is on ways I can THRIVE!

During the challenge I will be looking at ways we can THRIVE in all areas of our life – in mind, body and soul.  Each day, except most Sundays I will be writing and publishing my thoughts on how to Thrive in Life starting at A and finishing at Z.

I will be giving you daily tips and motivation on how to improve your lifestyle and feel like you are thriving and not just surviving in life.  By the time we reach ‘Z’, my goal will be to have had an impact on your life and that you are feeling happier, more vital and living a more active and purposeful life.

Life can become mundane and a treadmill can’t it?

Are you trying to keep all the balls in the air as you juggle your time with career, family and relationships?

Perhaps you are an empty nester? Or you are retired or planning for retirement and just aren’t sure what to do with the rest of your life.

It is so easy to say that we need to make changes in life and there are many articles written about self-improvement and finding happiness. I have written about these subjects many times, BUT Change isn’t as easy as it sounds.  Life gets in the way, we are tired and don’t feel motivated, sometimes we just want to jump out of the world around us for a few moments and just regroup.

During the AtoZ Challenge I will be writing about various ways you can learn to Thrive in your life – even if you don’t think you have the time or inclination.

I’ll be covering topics from Audit to Zest , from Facing Fears to Self Care techniques, from finding Harmony in your life to Developing your dreams to become a reality.

Have I peaked your interest?  I hope so!

I would love you to join me on this journey and hopefully pick up some tips and inspiration on how you can make changes to your life and start Thriving!

You might also like to check out my Over 50 & Thriving series.  In this series, published every Thursday, guest writers give insight into what ‘Over 50 & Thriving’ means to them.

Want practical and motivational ways to learn to Thrive rather than just Survive in life?  Click here and Subscribe to receive my daily posts as they publish plus a FREE COPY of my E-Book ’10 Ways you can start Thriving Today’.

So let’s start Thriving and in my first post tomorrow, we look at ‘A’ is for Attitude and Taking an Audit of your life

Let’s Start Thriving Today!

In the prompts for #LTW coming soon is the A-L of me, and later in the year the M-Z of me.

Thank you for linking up for #ltw 12/52. Next week’s optional prompt (& marking 1/4 of way through 2018!) is “origin of my name’. Denyse x

  • Reply Jo Castro March 21, 2018 at 11:50

I’m inspired by both you and Leanne – this challenge seems a humungous task! I’m sure there will be days when you just yell, “AAAAarghhhh!” But then to complete such a challenge will be amazing. For both of you perhaps an ebook will follow? Having a theme is such a great idea.

    • Reply Jo Castro March 21, 2018 at 11:50

Oh shared on social too 🙂

    • Reply Sue Loncaric March 22, 2018 at 13:58

Yes Jo, Leanne has done it three years in a row! I did it in 2016 and now this year. I am still trying to make an e-book of my first AtoZ challenge but life is so busy at the moment. 🙂

  • Reply Min@WriteoftheMiddle March 21, 2018 at 13:54

Yes – you have my interest. My kind of posts! Hat’s off to you – not sure I could keep up posting every day. Love the A-Z idea though. Look forward to reading your posts! 🙂

    • Reply Sue Loncaric March 22, 2018 at 13:59

Thanks Min. I do schedule some in advance so I’m not trying to write every day. It is still a challenge coming up with a topic based around the particular letter of the alphabet! X is always a hard one 🙂

Such a beautiful video, I agree with all your tips. I need to get back to exercising. I was doing well with that, then I got sick and somehow got out of the habit.

    • Reply Sue Loncaric March 22, 2018 at 14:01

Well it was my first attempt Amy so I can only improve, I hope! Life can get in the way of exercising that is for sure but if you start back slowly you will be into it in no time. x

  • Reply Michele March 22, 2018 at 02:54

Hi Sue, I look forward to your posts in the A to Z challenge. You are right, it is easy to hear something or learn about it but much more challenging to do it. I am working on the taking action pact! I will get my thriving post to you soon.

    • Reply Sue Loncaric March 22, 2018 at 14:02

Yes you seem to have some exciting plans Michele so can’t wait to read about them. I look forward to receiving your guest post. Have a great weekend!

  • Reply Jo Tracey March 22, 2018 at 08:08

You’ve certainly piqued my interest…and I’m more than a tad tempted to join you…although it would mean writing and scheduling them all in advance as I’ll be away for the last 2 weeks of the month…but even so, I’m tempted.

    • Reply Sue Loncaric March 22, 2018 at 08:24

Oh do it JO! I schedule mine in advance and they don’t have to be long, although once I start writing I can’t help myself!

This sounds like a real challenge Sue and I applaud you for it. I did it last year with my theme being places in Australia from A-Z. I enjoyed doing it but it was a lot of hard work. This year I’ve got no chance of finding the time to do it. I will look forward to reading your posts however. #TeamLovinLife

    • Reply Sue Loncaric March 23, 2018 at 07:58

Hi Kathy, I did 2016 but not last year so I’m giving it another go this year. It is very demanding isn’t it but a fun challenge where I can incorporate my theme for the year of thriving. Hope life is treating you well and you are settling back to normality after your wonderful trip. Enjoy!

  • Reply Nikki@Wonderfully Women March 22, 2018 at 16:27

I have never done this challenge, bit scary due to time constraints, but I might just pull it off…….hmmmmmmmm

I’m sure you could do it Nikki! Give it a try!

  • Reply Leslie Clingan March 23, 2018 at 12:52

Hey!! Saw mention of this A to Z Challenge on Leanne’s blog. But I am not sure I understand. Do you write a post every day for 26 days on a certain theme? And the first day’s post uses an A in the subject or title? I will check out your 2016 challenge posts to see if I can tell what you did back then.

I know your posts will be full of great information for all of us. Looking forward to reading!

Hi Leslie that is correct but I also sent you an email about it!

This sounds great Sue. You should open it up as a blogging challenge and have others join you in selecting their ‘thriving’ ABCs over that time. #teamlovinlife
