It is September and we are in countdown mode for our trip to Spain next month.
I started the challenge of writing a sentence a day back in April and also continued in May and June. If you missed my posts for the last few months you can read them here A sentence a day
On the first week of each month, we link our posts up and can read what everyone has been up to.
In September my theme for the blog is ‘This time next year’ and is all about putting into place strategies to achieve your goals, dreams and to thrive. That means writing about not only my own aspirations, but introducing guest writers with their thoughts.
Writing a sentence a day for a month is short and sweet but can be a pertinent reminder of all the good things and perhaps not so good things that happen in life. This is my sixth month and it is really like keeping a diary. I just love the idea.
A sentence a day for September 2017
September 1 – It is Spring in Australia, and after kindy drop off enjoyed a belated birthday lunch with friends.
September 2 – Run with my Saturday Sister and then made a delicious slow cooked lamb shanks in red wine for dinner.
September 3 – Relaxing day at home and caught up on some blogging posts plus finally booked all of our accommodation for our trip to Spain and Italy next month.
September 4 – Liptember (read my post here) is an initiative focusing on Women’s Mental Health for the month of September. So I purchased my lipstick as my contribution and posted to Instagram during the month. At least I can laugh at myself for a good cause.
September 5 – Kindy drop off and spent a lovely couple of hours catching up with my daughter who has been in Hong Kong on business. Finished the day with a run around the City with one of my Saturday Sisters.

September 6 – My favourite day of the week spending time with my grandson visiting the park and the beach.
September 7 – A morning workout, a visit to my MIL and then we headed to the Coast for some R&R

Sunrise looking at the ocean from our balcony
September 8 – Spent the morning enjoying the sunshine and walking along the esplanade. A quick lunch and then heading back to the City where I received a surprise package in the mail. (Watch for the review next month)

Surfers Paradise at the Gold Coast where we escape to.
September 9 – Some blogging today and also treated my feet to some pampering with a pedicure then a delicious slow cooked Osso Bucco for dinner – Yum!
September 10 – Enough of sitting around! Hubby and I walked to Southbank Parklands and enjoyed a delicious brunch on a glorious spring day. Watched the room reveal for the Master bedroom, ensuite and walk-in-robe on The Block
September 11 – Started the week slowly and decorated a hat for my MIL as it is a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at the aged care home tomorrow. Yoga session in the afternoon and felt very relaxed.
September 12 – Visited MIL and attended the Mad Hatter’s Tea party with her then an afternoon run with one of my Saturday Sisters who has been on holidays.
September 13 – Fun day with Ethan at the park playing hide and seek. He doesn’t seem to realise I can’t turn myself inside out and fit into tiny places like he can!
September 14 – Busy, busy – early morning car service, lunch with friends and then some blogging. My new suitcase arrived so I’m happy with that!
September 15 – Helped out at my MIL’s aged care facility with a BBQ luncheon to find out the ‘footy tipping winners’!
September 16 – Started the weekend with a 12km run with my Saturday Sisters.
September 17 – Hubby and I walked to Southbank (about 4km) and enjoy a lovely Sunday brunch together.
September 18 – Started the week by accompanying a group from my MIL’s aged care facility to a local club for morning tea and lunch. I’m enjoying my volunteering work with them.
September 19 – An early morning kindy drop-off, visit to the Doctor for a letter listing our medications to take on our trip and ended the day with an afternoon run with my Saturday Sisters.
September 20 – Had the best day ever with my grandson riding on a City Cat and visiting the dinosaurs at the Museum. I enjoyed it just as much as he did.
September 21 – Spent the morning catching up on blog work and washing, then enjoyed a lunch catch up with neighbours at a local Italian restaurant.
September 22 – Started the day with a Strength Yoga session then headed to the Coast today for a final visit to check everything is in order before our overseas trip.
September 23 – Relaxing morning with a walk on the esplanade then my signature slow cooked beef cheeks in red wine for dinner!
September 24 – A lovely surprise visit from my daughter, SIL and darling grandson. We played on the beach then after they left it was some pampering time for ‘Nan’.
September 25 – Home from the Coast and now ready to start preparing for our trip – we leave on Sunday EXCITING!!! Had a boxing session and 15 min yoga workout and felt great.
September 26 – Run with my Saturday Sisters
September 27 – My last Wednesday with my darling grandson for a whole month – how will I survive?
September 28 – Pampering time before my trip with a Facial from Pure Indulgence
September 29 – Of course I’m having the works at Hair Salon so I can look glamorous for my Spanish Adventure!
September 30 – Last run with my Saturday Sisters for 5 weeks. So excited because we are flying to London tomorrow!
So that was my month in a sentence a day. I hope you enjoyed reading what I got up to this month.
What has October in store for me? We will be enjoying a wonderful holiday together visiting London, Portugal, Spain and Italy. I’m excited!!
Why not try this challenge for October? It is surprising what you might write over the course of the month and it is fun reading. You can then link up and read other posts from those taking the challenge.
Let’s Keep Sizzling!
