Lower Back pain can be a pain in the neck! I know because I have lower back problems. Do you suffer from lower back pain and find it difficult to get out of bed? I’ve had lower back pain for a number of years and only recently started visiting an Osteopath. This has been the best thing I have done.
My back feels so much better after the Osteo session and combined with these exercises I’m feeling reduced pain and twinges in my lower back.
I’ve found a couple of videos I wanted to share with you. They are easy and gentle stretches and exercises that will help reduce the pain in your lower back.
Apart from these stretches and exercises, regular yoga sessions and a daily brisk walk can also alleviate the pain and also keep you fit in mind and body.

Lower Back Morning Stretch
This video, which is on my naturopath, Osteoworks‘ website shows an easy stretch you can do each morning before you get out of bed. It will provide relief and start your day in the right way.
Lay on your back and bring your knees into your chest. You can also gently roll the knees from side to side no further than 11am to 1pm position. Take it slowly and don’t rush.

Hi Sue – you are always on the ball with exercise – and I think the lower back is probably one of the worst areas for us (especially for midlife bloggers who sit at their computers for too long every day!) thanks for sharing and I’ll be keeping these in mind! Thanks for sharing at our #OverTheMoon link up #3 ~ 🙂 Leanne
Hi Leanne, yes I’ve had a bad back for years that is why I do P.T. to strengthen my back and core. The Osteopath has provided great relief – wish I’d know about them earlier.
Excellent advice! Lower back pain is a PAIN! so important to stretch out the kinks and very important to stretch properly.
Hi Becky and welcome! Yes I have had back issues for a number of years and there is nothing like a good stretch!!!
Sue this is a great post . We do need to look after our back and the videos you have shared are really fantastic. I am going to pass them on to my hubby. Thank you for sharing on #overthemoon
Thanks Jen! I just went to the osteo this morning and feel so much better. It is something I have to work on everyday to relieve the pain.
