Yes, I know, I’m late to the party discovering Ponte Pants but now that I’m here they are my new BFF for Winter. If you haven’t a pair in your wardrobe then you need to add them as a wardrobe staple, especially for the cooler weather. I purchased my first pair recently and am thinking of buying another pair. I found them at Target in the Danni Minogue Petites Range . They are affordable and the fit and length are perfect for me.
What are Ponte Pants?
Made from ponte which is a thick, double-knit fabric with a two-way stretch, Ponte (pronounced ‘pon-tee’) pants are a cross between skinny jeans and leggings. The Two-way stretch is important because it moulds to your body-shape and holds you in at the same time – a win/win!

Perfect for late afternoon drinks with our friends…… I teamed them with a black top from my wardrobe and my new floral jacket which I love from Shein plus my white trainers from Spendless Shoes.
Perfect for a specialist appointment with my husband – I teamed with my new suede jacket, black top (again), ankle boots and a jaunty cap.

Hi Sue – I love your turn as a fashion blogger. I tried ponte pants several years ago, but they were a fail for me – I loved the feel of them, but they were just a bit short on my long legs and I felt like I was constantly adjusting them. I’ve become a fan of of stretch skinny jeans and wear them a lot during winter with ankle boots. I think it’s actually a similar look – it took me a long time to get into the skinny jeans idea, but I love them now – and ponte pants give off a similar vibe.
Hi Leanne, I’m not really a great fashion blogger but I did like these pants and the outfits came up pretty well. They aren’t expensive either as I don’t go anywhere these days that requires me to really dress up. I like skinny jeans too x
Hi Sue, they look fabulous on you and your lovely slim figure but probably not so fabulous on me at the moment. I’ve got some extra kg’s on me lately since so busy with Mum and not as much time to focus on myself and sticking to a good regular routine. I LOVE ponte pants though! They’re so stylish and comfy looking. I have problems buying pants of any kind because they’re always way too long. I bought some jeans recently and had to have SO much cut off the bottom which is very annoying. The perils of being a shortie! You look great in your ponte pants and great for packing when travelling too! Win win! xo

I have been wearing Ponte pants for a couple of years. You are right, they are very versatile. I can use them on the golf course or out to dinner. Your look marvelous by the way.

Sue, I actually own a couple of pairs, but I did not know they were called Ponte pants. My favorite pair (black) always comes along on our travels. They are versitile, easy to pack and easy to wear more than once. I love all the ways you have styled them, but my favorite is with the suede jacket. Very posh!

I think this has been a great post in terms of sharing the good news about ponte pants. I don’t like jeggings and tend to wear jeans most of winter. I don’t have active wear either. But I did discover two years ago that as a petite person, size 16 in Danni Minogue’s range from Target fits me. What a find for some who is short…and I now know you are as well. It’s funny when we don’t know a person “in person” and can’t always judge things like height!!
