Tuesday’s Tip: 5 Quotes to Celebrate Life Today

5 Quotes Celebrating Life Today

As we Celebrate Life during the month of August, we need to remember that each day we can celebrate our life even in small ways.

Too often, we take life for granted.  We find ourselves torn in different directions and probably filling our lives with unnecessary or unfulfilling things just to fill in time.

It isn’t until we are faced with a life-changing experience that we actually take a step back and appreciate what we have.

So why not celebrate each day?

I’ve chosen these 5 quotes because I believe they are perfect reminders of how precious life is and why we need to not wait for birthday or anniversary celebrations but celebrate our life each day.

5 Quotes to Celebrate Life Today

1. Celebrate the day

5 Quotes to Celebrate Life Today

Taking a moment each day to be grateful for life is so important but sometimes we take it for granted.

2.  Don’t just exist, bring some fun and laughter into each day

5 Quotes to Celebrate Life Today

Life isn’t just about exisiting, breathing, eating and going through the motions.  It is about experiences, having fun and filling our lives with laughter.

3. Make each day a special occasion

5 Quotes to Celebrate Life Today

My MIL has so many things that she kept ‘for good’ but never used.  We are all guilty of that I think.  Keeping possessions for a ‘special occasion’ only to find that we probably never use them.  Wouldn’t it be better to enjoy what we have and appreciate using it?

4. Take time to enjoy the little things

5 Quotes to Celebrate Life Today

Too often we put off enjoying our life or in pursuit of something bigger and better.  Sure plan and dream, but don’t forget that there are moments in each day that can bring joy to our lives.

5. Create memories

5 Quotes to Celebrate Life Today

This quote is so true, it is the special moments in our lives that create the tapestry of our life.

Great quotes Sue – I definitely agree that life should be lived and celebrated. It’s taken me to Midlife before I seriously thought about this, but if we don’t stop and celebrate now then we’re wasting valuable time!

Thanks Leanne and yes like you it took me until I was over 50 to start thinking about myself and what I wanted from life. Have a beautiful day my friend and thank you for always celebrating with me xx

This is perfect for August and every month, Sue. It really fits with the essay I shared on #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty today. I’ve had some time off and have been enjoying each moment, and each precious summer day since these warm days are so fleeting in Maine. I know you are in the midst of winter where you live, and those days are no less precious.

Thanks Molly and yes I saw your post over at #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty. Our winters are so mild unlike yours but I do love the Maine area and would love to experience a winter there one day – who knows? Enjoy your summer time Molly xx

Great quotes. I used to use my china once a year at Christmas. I used to use plastic cups and use my pretty stemware when I had guests. I now use my things when I want to and if I choose to have a cold beer in one of my stem glasses, I do just that. Afterall who and what am I waiting for? Thanks for sharing with us at #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty. I’ve shared on social media.

I think it makes you feel special using ‘good things’ more regularly, Clearissa. Thanks for co-hosting #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty and for sharing my post. Have a great day! xx

Great quotes. I make it a point of taking out the special china, Irish linen, and silver for regular dinners. Such a waste to only use them 2 or 3 times a year.

    • Reply Sue Loncaric August 3, 2017 at 06:50

Good for you Jennifer it is a waste to ‘keep them for special occasions’ when we could enjoy them rather than having our possessions stuck in a cupboard. Have a lovely week, Jennifer. xx

Yes. I do think that I celebrate life everyday . . . quietly. In the grand scheme of things, each of us is alive for only a few short years. It’s important to celebrate and find joy in life everyday. Thank you for linking up at #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty. I’m sharing your link on social media.

Finding joy in life everyday is important to our wellbeing Carol but unfortunately sometimes we get too caught up in little problems and forget the good parts. Have a lovely day Carol & thanks for stopping by xx

Oh, goodness these are such wise words. The quote about saving things is one I am working on myself. Used to save everything…candles, bath soaps, jewelry for a special occasion. But everyday is a special occasion. I am trying very hard to change my mindset. Thank you for the reminder.

    • Reply Sue Loncaric August 3, 2017 at 06:43

Oh I kept everything as well Leslie and now I’m just using my possessions and enjoying them. Have a lovely day my friend. xx
