31 Days to Focus on YOU Review

31 Days to Focus on YOU Review

Well we are at the end of our 31 days to Focus on YOU.

How did you go?

Did you manage to make some changes to your life that will benefit your physical, mental and spiritual well-being?

Yes? No?

The good news is that bringing the focus to yourself and your life can be a ‘Work in Progress’.

Of course, 31 days can certainly help us to form better habits and have the focus front and centre, however as I often say – ‘life gets in the way’.

During the month I wrote about Creating a Self-Care Plan for Life. That means devoting some time each day to YOU and what makes you healthy, happy and contented.  Some days that might just be 5 minutes other days you will have more time.  It also means making some time for yourself a priority.

It is all about remembering that YOU are important as an individual and your needs and desires should be valued by yourself and others.

Review of 31 days to Focus on YOU

Over the last 31 days we have:

  • Downloaded a self-care plan and each week ticked some off the list
  • Discovered how Vision Boards can help us keep our dreams and goals in focus
  • Visited ways to re-discover who you are as an individual and what makes you happy and fulfilled
  • Learned the importance of making the most of each day
  • Learned about focusing on what is important to you
  • Learned that Paying it Forward and showing kindness can bring satisfaction and happiness to our lives
  • Learned the importance of Decluttering our Mind and our Life
  • Learned that we need to take responsibility and stop making excuses
  • Learned to difference between ‘busyness’ and ‘being productive’

I do hope you have enjoyed the 31 days to Focus on YOU and would love to hear your feedback.

It’s been a great month Sue – lots of helpful suggestions and some really good ideas about ways to move forward – always a good thing to be reminded of how important it is to look after ourselves x

Thanks Leanne, I do hope that some have taken onboard what I’ve written. I do need to listen to myself more though and take my own advice! Have a great weekend my friend. x

I am always working on myself, it is definitely a work in progress! I try to spend a quiet morning hour first thing to thing and plan and get my head in a good place. I do take more time for myself than I ever have. It feels good.

Yes I love the mornings to plan Michele. The house is quiet and there is the promise of new things to come. Thanks for stopping by to comment and have a beautiful day. x

We tend to put ourselves last don’t we Carol but we should be able to squeeze in some time for ourselves to rejuvenate. Have a lovely weekend and thanks for co-hosting Blogger’s Pit Stop. xx

My favourite post was the Making Excuses one but I really enjoyed them all! I think you are a very special person giving of yourself and for your interest in helping others to be the best version of themselves that they can be. So many great tips to take away from the month. Thanks so much Sue!

Oh Debbie you are so kind and your words have made my Monday morning. I blog to help others and myself be the best we can be. Sometimes it isn’t easy to keep motivating others or even coming up with ideas. Reading comments such as yours today makes it all worthwhile. Have a beautiful day and I’m happy we have connected through the blogging world. x

I’m sorry I didn’t participate in this but glad the archives are there to go back and review. I definitely like the idea of eating dark chocolate, Sue, and I think I can get an immediate win for that one! LOL. I have been doing better with activity this summer as walking outside is so fantastic this time of year. I must carry that into the winter months and stretching with yoga or other similar fitness routines is essential. Thank you for always reminding me to stay healthy and take care of myself – body, mind and soul.

Hi Molly! Yes we all need some dark chocolate in our day 🙂 Sounds like you are having a great summer. Our winter has been glorious but I understand you will be looking at snow and cold in your winter and it is harder to keep our fitness on track then. Have a great day! xx

You had some great ideas and suggestions, Sue. Unfortunately, last month was all about the hubs. He had a complete knee replacement and is still recuperating, however, I am saving those suggestions and will apply them as soon as I get him back on his feet. Thanks for sharing with us at #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty. I’ve shared on social media.

Life can get in the way Clearissa can’t it? However, I’m glad hubby is on the mend and sometimes they do need our attention even if they are well. Have a great week and thanks for stopping by xx

Sue, I love this! Taking care of ourselves is so important to good health!! Thank you for all the great info to help us do just that!

    • Reply Sue Loncaric August 3, 2017 at 06:46

Self-care is so important Lori but we tend to care for others and forget about ourselves. I just wanted to remind everyone (myself included) that we are important too! xx
