Happy Monday!
I wanted us to start the week with a thought and this one jumped out at me.
Another day, another chance to shine!

This morning I started the week with a strength workout to keep my body and mind strong. It was tough but felt so good afterwards. We can all shine in different ways.
What does it mean to shine?
Shining is your internal light, your spark that makes you unique and enjoy life.
You shine and radiate health and vitality
You shine with your creativity
You shine with your zest for life
You shine in creating happy relationships with family and friends
You shine as a role model (even when you don’t realise it – others feel inspired by the way you live your life)
3 quick ways you can shine your light today
- Take care of your body – that means moving your body every day, choosing healthier food options. Maybe try a new skincare product or haircare product. It’s important to look after our bodies inside and outside. When we look good, we feel good. When we are healthy our skin glows and we shine.
- Take care of your mind – be creative, read, take time to breath and rest your mind, spend time in nature to find calm
- Take time to connect with others – staying socially connected is important to maintain a healthy mindset and it helps us to shine.
How will you shine today?
Each day is a new opportunity to live well and enjoy life. Share with me in the comments what shining means to you.
Have a beautiful day everyone and remember to shine!

A workout with good friends also brought shine into my day today. It is was a perfect way to take care of my body and my mind and for social integration (which is proven to be the number one factor in increasing longevity)! <3
I love my workout friends too, Donna and it is the perfect way to take care of ourselves and have the social interaction which is very important to longevity. Have a beautiful week. xx
Hi Sue – I love the word shine – it fits well with my “Live Lightly” WOTY and I’ve shared a lot of quotes on my FB page about shining your light and being a light to others. I think women become invisible when they forget to shine and forget self-care. When you’re happy with yourself you can’t help but let your light shine. Keep shining! x
I love the word ‘shine’ too, Leanne it makes me feel uplifted. It would fit well with your Life Lightly WOTY. Sometimes we forget how to shine and just need a reminder, don’t we? Have a lovely week and continue to Live Lightly and shine! xx
This was a great post to start the week with Sue! I love the word shine – you shine brightly in many ways and by helping us all see the light within us and by being an inspiring person! A great workout with friends is an awesome way to start the day 🙂
Thanks for your lovely words, Deb. The image was from my 2023 Calendar and it just fitted my thoughts today perfectly. xx
The best advice ever, Sue
Thank you, Toni! Have a beautiful day. x
