3 days, 3 quotes Challenge – Midlife
For my first day I would love to share with you my 3 favourite quotes about …. Midlife and what it means to me. One is actually mine!
Sizzling Towards 60 is all about encouraging women to take a positive attitude and make the most of this new and exciting phase of life. To be fit, active and vibrant and to embrace midlife, taking on new challenges and making the life that WE WANT and NOT WHAT OTHERS WANT US TO BE.
To often, we get caught up in life and forget to have FUN! When was the last time you actually had some fun like you had in childhood. Some of us can get so hung up on our age that we actually forget to live our life and are just coasting along wasting time until we die!
Midlife is a time to reflect on your life – where you have been, where you are now and where you want to be.
I have met so many inspiring and wonderful women in midlife and beyond, who are taking on new challenges, new careers and basically just taking on life. This motivates me to try new things and keep setting goals.
In my Midlife Matters series, I’ve been introducing women of midlife from various backgrounds who are proving that this is a fabulous time of life. Each one has taught me something about life and how they have overcome obstacles to achieve their dreams. If you want some inspiration check out the posts here https://www.womenlivingwellafter50.com.au/category/midlife/

I love that quote “middle age is a pause to re-examine” very poignant #mg
It certainly is the perfect time to reflect and re-examine where we are in life Geraldine! Thanks for stopping by to comment. xx
I love your quotes! So glad you are joining in the fun. As you most likely know I recently turned 40, I wasn’t suer how I would feel, but despite having some bad days with anxiety I actually feel amazing. I think it is because I feel I am so happy with where I am at in my life. I am living true to myself, I am enjoying my job, and I am writing. I am so blessed to have a man I adore who adores me back and my gorgeous kiddies. Yes everyday is not perfect, and yes I get tired and frustrated. But I am loving my life. It really isn’t about age, it is about being grateful and seeing the good in our world. Thank you for your continued support with everything xoxox #mg
I can feel your happiness in your writing Mackenzie and particularly in this comment. Embrace midlife – age doesn’t matter it is how you live your life that does. Thanks for nominating me in the challenge.
Lovely quotes. It’s so important to live life, unfortunately we can get caught up in the mundane and let what matters get away! #mg
Thanks Emma! We always need a little reminding don’t we because life can really get in the way sometimes. Thanks for visiting and have a beautiful day!
Wow! Those are wonderful quotes and even though I’m not technically middle aged yet, I live by this in my own life. I have discovered that I’m lot happier when I’m not busy making the world happy and just living for me. Thanks so much for sharing these! #mg
Hi Michelle! Thanks for visiting and I do think that these quotes can apply to any age really. We need to be true to ourselves and live our lives the way we want to rather than trying to be something we aren’t – just to please others.
I love these quotes! At 36 I’m not sure I am quite yet at midlife (I do hope not!) but I love the one about forgetting your age. It IS just a number isn’t it! Fab post, very inspiring. #mg
No Laura you aren’t quite there yet but Midlife is fabulous so look forward to reaching this wonderful and exciting time. I’m so pleased you felt inspired by the quotes and yes age is really just a number it is your attitude that makes or breaks us.
Love your quote and your blog! Thanks so much for sharing your lovely words. ?

Despite being a lot younger. I think you have written words that could apply to anyone at any age. We should go for our dreams. #mg
They certainly could Helena! I wish I had known this when I was younger so I’m very happy that you are realising your dreams now and not waiting until later in life.
Oh, I love these quotes aimed at US! I see this time in my life as the time when I finally get to do what matters most to me and that is a great gift!
Yes I love them too Michele and you are so right. We now have the time to devote to what we want from life and that is an empowering feeling.
